    Any Stax enthusiasts out there?:)
Would there be any sonic benefit, assuming compatibility, in changing from a SRD-6/SB driver to a SRD-7/SB one?
    Driving Stax Gamma phones.
    Cheers, Bri.

Yep, that helps. Think I may look out for a Lamba set up though, thinking about it.:JOEL:

I have both the 6SB and the 7mkII (AC driven). There is nothing between them, except that the 7 has 2 outlets.

I also have a SRM-T1 valve energiser. If you drive the 6SB from a very good amp, (IMO) it is as good or better than the valve energiser.

I have 2 pairs of the SRX MK3's, 2 pairs of Lamda Signatures, and a pair of the little in ear 001's.

The Lamda's give the most detail, but the old SRX's are more coherent, and more musical
