Taken me a few days to write this as the words got rather stuck in my craw, but after coming back from Saturdays Move festival I was rather impressed.
I'd bought my ticket so I could see the Pixies, and predictably enough Black Francis was the coolest fat bastard on the block, they were excellent. They didn't bother talking to the crowd once, just being happy to let the music do the talking. Before them were Goldcrap sorry mean Goldfrap. Nice boots shame about the music. Really they weren't the right band for the day, to mellow and too artsy especially when it started to rain....very hard.
Tim Booth and the individuals, well on that showing I'll be getting their new album, the boys still got class but his dancing has not improved :MILD:
So to the Stereophonics. I'd said if it was raining I was going home, but the weather held fair and they played very well. In fact I'd go so far as to say the best set of the day. I'd forgotten how many strong songs they've got, and they can really play. Good on yer boys, they didn't even play Handbags and Gladrags,
