pointless mangling of a classic design...

just cos you can, doesn't mean you should...

I had one, and I'm proud to say it!

...those were the days when cars looked and were made like cars.

That motor towed a family of five around the UK during 70s...often pulling a c'van....+bits...

edit; the arm is mine...you don't want to see the rest

They have Ferrari in their portfolio as well :yikes:

Oh, and a 4 door Bugatti, but that is just a concept and doesn't look too bad.

    Dare you look?

You might be surprised - the Smart performs very, very well in the crash tests!

We've just got one for a new office pool car, to complement the Hybrid Civic we run. It's really rather more fun, too.

Indeed they do - I've got one and love it, £30 a year to tax. And that was after 15 years of driving a Jag (which I still have but rarely use - I can park the smart easy, it does almost 60 to the gallon, it goes like the clappers, I can get the dog in the back - just).

On safety they bounce apparantley if in a collision - fortunately I haven't had to test this!

''goes like the clappers'' ??? how crap is your jag?

The smart Brabus does 0-62 in 10 seconds.

The normal smart does it from 15 to 18 seconds depending if you pick the really really tiny engine or just the very small one... with a top speed of 85!

My diesel jag gets me to 60 in just under 8, and tops out about 150mph.

The v8 x-type will get you to 60 in 6.

Sorry, I agree with all the easy to drive, economy aspects but ''goes like the clappers'' ?? - it goes like a moped.

Lol! Maybe it just feels like you are :). Mind you, my two vehicles are a diesel van and a 1.4 Nissan, so 0-60 in 10secs really is going like the clappers to me :D.
