Absolutely as new, a stunning pair of latest Rega Alya Speakers. Hand built by Rega Research in UK with serial no's L003392 and L003393. Barely run in ... approx. 3 months old. Genuine, regretful sale due to moving hi-fi downstairs into smaller lounge. Previously in large minimalist style bedroom where they had room to breath, producing a lean, clean bass and toe tapping rhythms. Warm, emotional mid rage qualities. Really loved these speakers powered by my Rega Elicit amp. The lounge is too small and there's too much in the way of soft furnishings and an unusual angle to allow these speakers to do themselves justice! Speakers are placed too close to room boundaries and so the bass has become too heavy for our tastes. Basically, speakers just don't suit the room so have downgraded to small stand mounted Tannoy's which are bass light and much more at home. If you have a larger room then you will really enjoy the Elya's. Bring them out from the corners wire then with decent cable up to a clean amplifier and source and you'll be amazed. Walk into a specialist Rega dealer today and these loudspeakers will cost around £390 per pair. I am asking £235, so jusy over half price. This is very fair and so no haggling please ... I'm not desparate for the cash ;-) Extended audition is required to truly appreciate the abilities of this loudspeaker system. From new they required quite a long run in period but they are now beautifully rich sounding in their heavy, hand build cherry wood cabinets. Not a single mark on either. Cloth driver covers never used since bought.
