Damn it sir:mad: I guess you saw me aquiring the raw materials:D

LOL:D Voodoo. Warning! Tact can do this to you;)

Well they aren't quite as big as they look in the piccies, same sort of size as the Velodyne HGS18 and B&W ASW4000. I reckon they look a bit more individual too. But do remember, they can do midrange too;)

I must admit I'm pleased with the result so far, will report back once listening starts in anger!

Bloody hell! And I thought my Servo 15 was big.

Those look like 18" cones - are they?

    Active? Passive? How much power?

    More details required methinks.

Also be good to get some frequency response, SPL and distortion level data when they are up and running.

    Matt.

    :D :D

I see where you are coming from John. Maybe I could build another pair and finish off with Mohair;)

Matt, no they're 15's and they are designed for music primarily. They are kind of passive:confused: Well each one is powered by an offboard 350W Digital amp, and with the TacT providing adjustable crossover and EQ, they are basically contolled in the same way as an active sub. Designed to go down to 20hz, no lower asw music is the priority, they can also operate all the way up to 500hz if preferred.

Sums suggest a pair should produce 128db at 1m, the drive unit can do this with extremely low distortion. We will see how they perform soon, but initial impressions are:D

Wasn't the Richter scale devised for things like this? When's the test run, so that I can watch the seismograph dance?
