    New to this forum...Quick question.
I have in the last week dumped my 5.1 system with a view to getting back to good ol' high fidelity stereo.
But this time around i've incorporated a sub into the mix to partner my Ruark speakers.
The whole setup sounds wonderful & i am very pleased.
One gripe. I get on very well with my neighbours & don't over do it with the sub. But when i have finished listening & turn off the sub via the rear off switch, the sub emmits a loud thump.
My question is - is it safe to leave the sub on permanently, or is overheating a possibility?

I've left my sub on (more or less) for the last year or so...
