Anyone have any opinions/experience about this particular bit of kit? Is it as good as an A21a (which I have previously owned)?

    I'm contemplating buying one......

Hi LT - no direct experience of one but there was a virtually half price one on HFFS a few days ago . I have just bought the ampmaster which is 34 watts of class A - very velvety and detailed . I really like Sugden kit - having previously owned a master class pre/power before I jacked my job in .If you have suitable speakers , could be worth a pop.
    Cheers

Thanks for your thoughts glenda, I love Sugden stuff too (what I've heard of it - A21 & A21a), I'm going to look for some 2nd hand stuff - musicmaster or maybe ampmaster if I can find one cheap enough.

The MusicMaster is an excellent power amp with a limited power ouput. It is better than the a21 but you will need a pre-amp and I do not believe that the HeadMaster is as good as the MusicMaster. For similar money the new a21SE could be just the ticket.

    Cheers

I bet it hurts me more. I have just placed my A21a in the for sale classifieds in a Spanish hi-fi rag as a first step. fingers crossed.

I'd never even heard of the A21SE 'til I read your posts earlier....when did that come out? It's acedemic anyway as I don't have that much money to spend, and I'm pretty sure there won't be m/any 2nd hands ones yet.

Out of interest, do you reckon a Croft valve pre would make good match for a musicmaster?
