Anyone ever tried this ? I am using a Black Cube SE at the moment and am hankering after more scale and front to back. Any ideas ?

try the Loricraft Missing Link, or perhaps the Dynavector 75, I haven't heard the 75 but it's supposedly very similair in sound to the 100 which is very good indeed. I've got the Loricraft, and it's stunning, but then I would say that wouldn't I. They both trounced a Whest when we put them together, and that's one seriously well thought of phono stage.
Chris haven't we had this conversation or a similair one before :)

Yes, Lordsummit, indeed we have but this time it was the Sugden angle I was most interested in 'cos I have the chance of getting a new Masterclass phono stage at what seems an excellent price and as I am a confirmed Sugden user (A21 and very soon an SE) I thought it might be a whole new ball game, considering its RRP at 1300 quid. Not that price usually has much to do with it but Sugden products are usually very good value after all. As always, auditioning is impossible where I live and I shall be buying blind (as was the case with my A48II in 1975, myA21a in 2000 and my A21SE next week, I hope) - how's that for faith in a manufacturer ! Thanks anyway.

Well good luck with it. Sugden amps are wonderful things, so with a bit of luck the phono stage will be too. You might not be able to audition things, but I bet you get better weather!
    All the best
