Looking for a powerful high-current integrated amp. Preferaby something like a Musical Fidelity A308.

Must be able to drive a pair of B&W 801's (...don't ask ) and Kef Reference Model 4's. So A308 level of power at the very least.

Spending up to about £1500, less would be awesome. Will pay a small finders fee to anyone that can find me an A308 integrated in the UK, if I buy it!

Musical Fidelity is a preference but i'm open to most brands :)

How about an ayre ax7e integrated, there is also a nice tube tech pre and monos and restek pre and monos here, they will negotiate on price, I deal with these guy regularly.

Not quite what I'm after, especially with the passive pre-amp stage. Can see that being a bit of a bother with a funny mains line if it ever comes to that.

Shame they don't have that KW500 any longer, I'd have hacked them to bits for it at that price!

£1k is the new price on the M3i anyway, I could probably source one cheaper than that :).

I've checked almost every hifi store (i think) in the uk's pre-owned/ex dem bit and found nothing :(. Checked Hi-Fi Adverts, Hififorsale too.

I sent the guy a text about the KW550, seeing if hes open to offers. An amp like that is exactly the kind of thing I'm after, although, not necessarily 'that' much power!

It probably is an analog volume control, only digitally controlled.

It was, ever so slightly. Could have stretched if I seen a good one.

Still waiting to see something special come up :)
