I've tried Nordost Pulsar Points and they don't really do much for me.

Does anyone have any other recommendations (at around the same price point); I'm looking for bang-for-the-buck supports that people can vouch for.

    Cheers!

Amps are less sensitive (unless valve) to support, I am a big fan of sorbathane feet £20, I have tried RCD £50 and pulsar points £50 but found more noticable gains with sorbathane, my cdp is on a light rigid sorbathane footed shelf on pulsar points. The 2 together are better but I wouldn't waste the extra on the points if i didn't already have them.

As some know, I'm a big fan of using children's superballs mounted in rubber doorstops. The cost is less than £5 for four. The only problem is that I go to a company in Belgium for suitable doorstops.

I've also used a sheet of closed-cell expanded polyethylene foam with some success.

You can see the doorstop/superball mechanism here (only it's inverted in this particular application).

i needed a pair of amp stands for the parctical reason that i now run mono blocks and want to use long signal and short speaker i/c's. i've just this morning bought some large mitchel tender feet and some argos granite chopping boards this cost me a grand total of 50 quid for 2 amp stands.
i'm also a fan of sorbothane (use it to decouple my speakers from their stands - yes technically my ipl's are standmounts!).
i've tried rdc cones and some little brass cones with carbon fibre crosses on top neither of which did it for me.
    cheers

Currently running my speakers attached to granite bases and then inverted mitchel tender feet, works quite well, looks good and doesn't cost the earth :D

Yes, I started with a set under my cd player and was amazed at the difference they made. I've gradually got them under everything, and each step made another difference. I heard them demonstrated at the Manchester show a few years ago in the Trichord / Michell room, and they even made the Trichord power amps sound "better".
They're a bit difficult to site, but I use cones under the equipment placed where I need them (instead of using the feet) and then the cone goes onto the cd-str5. I mostly use the extra spring leaf - I haven't tried the magnetic puck version.
I haven't got any photos, though I'm sure a Google search will throw up something.
