swapsies perhaps... Tannoy Chatsworths. OFFER ERM, OFF.

Due to my chameleon like nature, Swapsies are on the horizon! I'm interested in anything of 90db sensitivity or above. I like horns. I have a mint looking pair of Tannoy Chatsworths with 12" Monitor Golds. They'd pass for new!, even though these date from 1974. They have ordinary original RCA speaker plugs (not those bare wire things) with the tannoy tweekable crossovers. I think at some stage these cabinets may have been French polished to a very high standard, the grill cloth looks new, not like the dogs you see on ebay. These come from a very well known vintage Tannoy specialist and were not cheap weighing in at £1150 secondhand!.
It goes without saying, they sound sublime. Theres some things I like about horns (owned Hornings) that I kinda miss, I love dual concentrics now, and much as I love these, I'm open to ideas...

I may of course reconsider tomorrow as I'm the wrong side of a few beers and bored at home! Based in Lancashire, but happy to meet halfway. swaps only since my disposable income is roughly - erm, nil. :D ...things like Hornings, or impulses are along the right lines. WHYG?

Get someone to build some rectangular GRF cabs for those drivers for you, and sell the Chatsworth cabs to pay for the cost of construction. Horn loaded Tannoys, voila, best of both worlds.

Rather than delete I've just closed the thread. This way we can still "oggle" your Tannoys:D.
