Does anybody have CDs or LPs from tacet or heard about them?

How good are the technical quality of the recordings?
    How good are the interpretations?

    Hi Titian
Tacet recordings technically are first rate - as good as the art of recording possibly can get.
They did a lot of interesting recordings for the fanatic classical listener (so this might be something you could delight in...) like the "tube only series" (recordings without any use of solid state technology in the recording process) or the "What about this, Mr. ..." series, where a limited number of pieces is played on different instruments (like a comparison of guitars built by Torres, Arias, Ramirez, Esteso, Hernandez and Flet on What about this, Mr. Tárrega?).
I've heard the comparison of grand pianos and it was very interesting indeed.
I seem to own only one tacet CD myself though: Haydn String Qts. op. 71 with the Auryn Qt.
I always liked the way the Auryns play and this CD is no exception - but interpretations are such a subjective thing... either you do like it or you don't...
Nowadays I probably would prefer the Quatuor Mosaiques' reading of Haydn - but the Auryns are - though very different in their approach - still a serious alternative. BTW their Schubert on CPO is great!
    :D

    Hi Matthias,
    nice hearing from you!
And how is the recording quality of the CD?

I have an offer for their 25LP-Box of the Abegg trio for SFR 213 (£85).
The LPs were recommended very highly for my collection.

Does Luzern have also lake fireworks? When if yes?

    Titian,
The recording quality of the my tacet CD is - as I just checked again through my headphones - excellent.
Don't think you can go wrong with the Abegg Trio, fine musicians, and the people at tacet really know their job. Still, it's CHF 213,-...

Of course Lucerne has its fireworks: August 7 - Seenachtsfest. You shouldn't miss that, it's terrific!!!

Oh I just saw I wrote things which aren't right:
It is a 25 CD-Box not vinyl and he LPs which were highly recommended to me are two vinyl LPs (L17, L74).
213.- SFR for 25 CDs isn't at all bad considering the audiophile recording quality then!

    I booked the August 7th.
