Does anyone know if a TacT RCS2.0DD can act as a pre-amp without the analogue out module? I've been using it as a pass-thru RCS into a TacT integrated but wondered if I can use it with a fixed-output DAC, essentially using the RCS as a digital volume control. Web-site/manuals no help, thanks in advance.

Yes you can use it with a standard dac no problem - but remember that the volume control is in the digital domain.
