Have you manged to hear one already, or buying blind? Lots of positive things have been said about the DAC20 and I hope it works well for you.

Thanks, for the interest, MO!. I managed to get a mint dac20 from HFC in a matter of a couple of hours.

Yep, taking the 'risk' of buying the dac blind, which is not my norm. I have been trying for put together a quality minimalist hifi/av setup, with a one-box dvd/cd player solution. Tried to find a relatively inexpensive universal dvd player which could play cds well, but after demo'ing a few, wasn't that impressed. Nearly went for the denon 2200/2900, but didn't need prog. scan etc. Decided in the end to get the dac20 and also a s/h pioneer 747A, which is supposed to have a solid transport. That way, I can always update my player, and keep the dac. TBH, it's CJROSS on HFC who converted me. (I'm sure I'm not the first!).
Still waiting for the gear to be delivered, but can't wait. This is my first upgrade after ten years...
