the 60p was based on the power amp section of the 8000LX integrated. No direct compared audiolab power amp existed as the lowest powered one was 100w with the 8000P

you may have trouble at that price mate given that brand new audiolab components are out and performing just as well at far less cost. I think the 8000P is now only about £500 or so

    It's worse I'm afraid, the 8000P is £400 now.

    oh dear!
How much was the 60p new, I cant actually remember, and I dont think I paid full price. I think I paid £650, it was ex-dispaly so I though I'd got a bargain. What would be a good price for it now then? At much less that £350-£400 it hardly seems worth selling it, but as all my speakers are single wire now I dont use it, and I really need the money for the RSPMs.

yeah the problem you have now is that a brand new audiolab 8000P will likely outperform it.. and at a lower price (plus guarantees etc) and thats £400 new.

i think £300 would be a more realistic goal for your 60p which is about the same used price as an old style audiolab 8000P

If you're not in a hurry to sell it might be worth sticking this on HiFiforsale.com for £350 and waiting for someone that wants to expand an all Tag system to come along.

as they're apparantly so worthless now then, I might be better off getting another one and doing some sort of 3 way active:eek: madness on the RSPMs. Would be quite cheap and probably very effective. Although I'm not sure I like the Tag with the RSPMs, sounds really "in your face" bright!!!
