My beloved Tag system is coming up for sale to release funds for other projects. At the moment I'm just testing the water so if you fancy any of it, let me have your best offer and I'll see if we can strike a deal. All items are mint (in black) and I have all manuals and boxes for most.

    CDT20R - T2L CD Transport

    DAC20 - D to A Convertor

    PA20R - Preamp

    60P (Qty 2) - Power Amps

does your dvd player have digital out? 'cos then the dac would be worthwhile ...

(am enjoying epos es22s in new set-up)

yeah... but as the DAC is gonna be a temporary measure... do i really wanna spend £350 on a tag when i could spend £200 on an audiolab one.

id only really be tempted by the tag set if i could afford both the transport and the dac.. and even then id probably want a DPA-32r for the sync link :)

The DAC20 is an order of magnitude better than the 8000DAX imho - well worth the extra bread (would buy it myself but, like you, really need a DPA32r instead).

Transport is a touch pricey i see :D

yeah.. my ultimate combo for the moment would be a dpa-32r and a sync linked transport... but funds not permitting at the moment.

    Shrink,

Sell your Q/M's and buy my complete TAG system. Once you find dpa-32R, sell the DAC20 and PA20R to fund it. You know it makes sense!

well sorry but that woudlnt work for two reasons :)

    1) i dont find the tag amps as natural/smooth or musical as the audiolab ones. But then im not so much a fan of the 8000MX either.

    2) the 60p's would panic trying to drive my epos speakers.... even the monos went into protection when i only had two.

3)im aiming towards a cyrus cd8X/psx-r at the end of the year.

still... good luck with the sale.... they are good components that deserve to do well.

After listening to cheaper alternatives this morning, I have realised just why I bought my Tag gear in the first place. It is therefore no longer for sale - phew!
