Ry Cooder and Ali Farka Toure - Talking Timbuktu

Ry cooder of Buena vista social club fame gets together with Ali Farka in a collaboration that is heaven to the lugholes. ( Ali Farka Toure is Mali's leading musician). The African beats, Evocative voices, African language blend with Ry cooders bluesy guitars to form some seriously sweet sounds that float out towards you, wrap you up, and take you away in a dream like state to music nirvana.

Buy it, borrow it, steal it, copy it....do whatever you have to do!But listen to it, and when i say listen i mean shut out the world around you and just go with it.

I spent some time travelling down the west coast of Africa , living with a Gambian family, and this bought back to the surface some wonderfull images that had been laying dormant somewhere in the back of my tiny mind. The colours, sounds, smells sights of Africa. Makes my spine tingle and long for those huge skies and wonderful people.
