607s are nice speakers. Think youve got the original price a bit wrong though mate. They were actually £200 odd. And the 609 £250.

 

really....you sure about that? Thats why i'm after those old hifi mags; for guide prices. They were certainly a league above the 63x range, and they were £150 odd....

 

Prices did vary according to where you got them from, but that was always the case in those days (as now really). Sixes were revised to the MK IIs The Sixes II were then replaced by the Profile series (631, 632,633,635,636,637,638)

Am very sure that the price of the 607s was around 200ish. Are very nice speakers though! And thats a pretty good price

 

I agree: £200 ish, as a mate of mine bought a pair of 609s for £240 delivered, which was a good deal at the time. This is going back to summer 1992.

 

I had a pair of minty 609s i had to let go due to space. Sold em for half of what the go for on ebay. But they did go to a good home (fellow hifi forums fellow) which is not so bad.
