This a techy-type question from a thick musician who knows half of bugger-all about electronics. My Dino's got its little dip switches where I can alter the cartridge impedence loading between 47k/33/100/1k ohms. What is actually happening here, in terms of the electrical side of stuff??

I can hear slight differences between each setting but am a bit puzzled as to what's going on. I know that 47k is for the MM's but as I'm using a DL103 (lovely little thing btw) Denon recommend 100 ohms. I feel that 33 sounds slightly better though - but why??

Thanks as always for any ideas/input. :)
