They remind me an awful lot of the Yammy 1000's.

Personally I'd prefer the Kondo/YL duo's that are on there at the moment. Bet those sound great.

I assume these are a pre NS1000 design as they had moved to beryllium by then.

I think he'll have trouble selling them here - Japan maybe??

I'd rather have the NS1000X. The Technics have their mid and tweeter mounted side by side and will suffer from lobing.

At least speakers designs where a bit more fun back then even if they probably sounded a bit crap :)

They don't make grilles like they used to...

They'd be good for all those studio's, using high placement, shown in the recent ATC thread ;)

Are they grills or acoustic treatments? Not a good idea at all to incorporate diffusion treatments right next to the wave launch. Wonder what they sound like?

    Dean,
Don't mess around with wimpy micro-monitors. What you want are SB9500s.

the bass drivers in the bottom cab are 35cm units...

    Hi Joel,

Those SB9500 speakers look the biz. How much are they?

    hi Dean,
They do look fun, don't they. I've not seen a pair for sale (they were produced in the late 70s IIRC). I wonder how many pairs Technics actually made (they were 2m high and weighed 190kgs each...).
I think they'd be pretty expensive if a pair ever came up for sale.
You'd also need an arena-sized listening room for all those drivers to integrate!
