Teenagers 'smoke to ease labour'

    Walked into work at 5.30am this MOrning and this was the first thing I heard. Didn't know if I should laugh or cry :rolleyes:

    It's just some dimwit tosspot MP who's heard a vague rumour and has jumped to the conclusion that all teenage mums-to-be do this and believe that it might work. What a load of nonsense.

    It's just a load of crap, same as the whole 'hoodie' thing.

    Not quite as sad but I knew a couple of people who smoked to stay slim. One colleague who had to stop smoking (Dr's orders) put on more than 25% of his previous weight because as he put it "he can taste the food now and can't stop enjoying it". I hear the practice is common amongst teenage girls.
