A junior web developer job, crappy pay and and an a not so ethical firm. Its been 3 and a half hours now he must have known that he would be quite late by the time he would phone me. I am going to ring the agency by 4:00 and say I am not happy.

I have applied for several jobs but one is them is at a company I really want to work for but it has no closing date on it and I have not heared a thing, I might phone them later and ask if they know when the closing date is and could they inform me if I have an interview when the it closes.

I am nevious and worked up now. An afternoon totally wasted.

I am on the verve of giving them a taste of their own medicine now, its been 4 hours in 7 minutes time, this has result in a loss of earnings as its a beatiful day and I could have earn't £15 doing leaflets.

I have to be some where else soon so if they don't phone by four I am not going to be here.

just got back and there was no phone call. I shall be sending them quite a stroppy letter asking them to send me a cheque for £15 for loss of earnings. Not to mention putting out my entire family out by having to keep the line free.

Its for the best though as I didn't want to work for the company anyway as I had my mind they were unethical feeding off the poor, today has just confirmed it. I might send an email to all the other canditates as they leaked that information in the the emails which is against the DPA act 1998 :D

    at,
no it's not a good thing but sadly it IS a common thing so don;t get all bent out of shape. the thing is new hires are probably not the top of their priority list or they have an irate customer, or, or, or. you just don;t know. the real world is a fast paced, random place where anything can and frequently does happen... to quote the song - 'you gotta roll with it' - don;t send them any stroppy e-mails - you'll probably find that most of these companies md's know each other and an e-mail asking for £15 loss of earnings is ripe for sarky remarks, remailing to other bosses and internet legend. see if you can get employment then - i reckon all you'd get is other companies saying they'll phone at such and such a time, not, and then waiting for you to perpetuate the legend by sending them an irate e-mail.... i know it's what i'd do but then i'm a c***
    chill out...
    cheers

Well the last email they got was from me saying my hearing loss might cause a problem so they should be aware of it, as it might mean I have to ask to repeat a few questions. I got no response from that email and no phone call.

Quite frankly so what they can all think I am a *#!$ but nobody can walk all over me, I am not a mug or a fool. There is just no excuse for treating people like this. Every other company I have dealt with has been honest and helpful.

Hopefuly its a good thing has I should get interviews with more ethnical businesses who make a more honest living.

So my attitude is stuff them :D

I am going out anyway to try and recover the rest of the day.

    Yes.
I'm in the phone booth, it's the one across the hall.
If you don't answer, I'll just ring it off the wall.
I know he's there, but I just had to call.
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone.
I heard your mother, now she's going out the door.
Did she go to work or just go to the store?
All those things she said, I told you to ignore.
Oh why can't we talk again?
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone.
It's good to hear your voice, you know it's been so long.
If I don't get your calls then everything goes wrong.
I want to tell you something you've known all along.
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone.
I had to interrupt and stop this conversation.
Your voice across the line gives me a strange sensation.
I'd like to talk when I can show you my affection.
    Oh I can't control myself!
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone.
Hang up and run to me! Oh!
