Since I stopped doing you know what.... a prediction of mine has come true... basically, I have a very short fuse and a very, very bad temper.

Now I know where I get this from - my dad is the same... alright when nothing gets on his wick, but when something does, well you'd do damn well to keep out of his way.

I am not proud of the fact, but I have an evil, wicked temper that was always kept under reign while I was smoking weed. Now I've been off for the best of four weeks, that has returned in style. I think others have noticed I often appear moody to them, and when I kick off, well they just keep out of my way!

I kicked off last night because the amp got delivered to my house, they stuck a card through to say pick it up at the depot (probably around 10 miles away), got there, to find they have left with a neighbour, then find the sliproad on the way back closed so I drove 40 miles for nothing....

Pure red mist is all I can describe, and god help anyone who gets in my way when this happens. Its a miracle that I managed to restrain myself from severely trashing the house when I got back, I was in a pure rage!

Now, I'm not proud of it, not at all, so what can I do to try and stop this. To be honest, its affecting my happiness a bit and things that never used to irritate me are doing so massively now. Cant be good for my health I feel...

If you know you have it you should be able to control it really.

Maybe you could try an anger management course or get some counselling if you feel the problem warrants it. Discussing it with someone trained in this can help to find the cause(s) and ways to deal with it. Just a thought.

You might like to check your diet.

Watching some Jamie Oliver thing where he changes the school dinners to healthy food and the difference is amazing. All the kids used to have trouble concentrating after lunch and were a lot of trouble. Two days after eating proper cooked food for lunch and they are all sitting silently doing work. There were about 20 kids that went for their asthma inhalers during the day. With the change in diet NOT ONE needed them!

The problem is, i just dont seem to like "healthy" food.... I'd probably rather starve than eat some of it!

My behaviour is affected my diet, with good food in my everything seems good, with a load of E numbers everything seems gloomy.

My diet is not that good though, I love coca-cola too much still :(

I very rarely loose my cool in public now though I just have other ideas. The other day I tried to take some money out of my savings account but she wouldn't believe I was the person on my ID picture so I just went to my local account and closed the account :D

That makes me feel happier than if I just lost my temper. I am also planning to change my current account as soon as my free overdraft expires.

Pasta is a good start, quick and easy to cook and there are loads of stuff to put on it which dosn't have any salt or sugar.

I have virtualy stopped eating bread because of the high amount of salt in it.

You need to start introducing some good food in your diet regardless of your mood, it is unacceptable that you should eat rubbish morning noon and night.

Start introducing just one decent meal every two days, or better still start eating your five a day.

Did you know that a portion of vegetables is actually only one table spoons worth? And one apple or pear is one of your five a day.

This is not difficult to achieve, it can be done. There is no excuse.

Potatoes in any form do not count towards five a day, smoothies and the like do count but only towards one portion, i.e. you could drink two litres of the stuff but it still only counts as one.

This is something everyone should be doing, there is no excuse what so ever.

I've had this ever since I can remember - including when at a boarding school where diet should have been good. I don't think some people just "grow out of it".

I've NEVER lost my temper into "red rage" with a person, but I have with equipment. This one time, my old CD walkman (which was a piece of crap from day one) scratched one of my CDs, so I lost it. Five minutes later there was blood all over my hands, a smashed up motherboard, and shards of metal everywhere - I basically tore apart the metal casing with my bare hands.

I've always been scared stiff of the day that I actually DO lose it with something more valuable (ie a person)...

punch bag would be OK - but general point is beneficial effect of doing some strenuous excercise that expels the bad and triggers the good - it seems to work despite the obvious drawbacks that it sounds so morally worthy and goody-goody.

and then there is the trusim that you are what you eat ... Have a banana, old fruit.
