LOL, Dom, what about the keyboard you folded in half, eh? That was quite amusing... although the blue language and banging and crashing about that preceeded it wasn't!

if you're interested in as punchbag - I've got a spare one you can buy - say 15 quid..??

dom - as for a free standing punchbag - check out

I bought one a while back - a boxing station that came with a punchbag and a speed ball....it was good, tho the speed ball is hanging off the wooden part - I should really glue it back on... :D

I've always struggled to keep control of my short fuse. When I was young it (my temper) got me into a fair bit of trouble, but then I took up karate and later boxing for a few years. Since then (around 13 years old) I've always managed to prevent ever taking out my anger on anyone else. I would recommend a semi-contact sport because a) it's a reminder that there's always someone tougher than you b) it teaches you to learn to control your anger c) it gives you a physical outlet to channel your anger into effort d) it will get you fitter and probably help balance your moods simply due to the benefits of exercise.

Later in life I took up Wing Chun which is excellent (I stopped since I left Bristol some years ago :( ). I'd really recommend looking into a decent Martial Art: Aikido, Ju Jitsu, Wing Chun, Thai Boxing or if you're lucky (and a bit of a mentalist): Systema. Avoid the whole Bushido (aka Bullsh1tdo)

Well, computers should work all the time. If they don't, they deserve what they get.

You're also forgetting the time I dropped my old base unit from 3 feet while it was on, because it wouldn't "see" the Eurobell cable modem - while the techie was there!

This POS crashed earlier, so I reset it, went to work's cash machine to get lunch money, and that bloody thing was bust too (won't get a comms link), so after 3 attempts, I'm afraid I gave it a VERY hard sideways kick as I walked off. As it's under CCTV, I expect to get sacked or at least bollocked, but I could care less right now.

At least the 30 mins round trip out of my way at lunchtime just so I can afford something to eat will burn off any excess energy.

BTW - that machine got off lightly - I've always wanted to know what LCD screen to fist interface sounds like.

...and as for contact sports - sod that. Blind git + contact sport = hospital.

Apparently computers cause more rage than almost anything else when they go wrong. I can testify to that!!

Like the time when my aforementioned old PC's CD writer refused to read back a disc it had just written, whilst its DVD drive would. I ripped the CD writer's drawer right out of the PC case! Mind you, I had a new writer on order anyway so it was a non-issue.

I smashed a £40 logitech keyboard to pieces once after 4 months of on/off trouble with a PC.

I've kicked and punched PC's many a time. But I try not to, because they arent exactly cheap to fix when you do!

Me too - gives a satisfyingly accurate description to "rebooting" ;)

Speaking of, why does this PC keep asking me to log in when I've asked it to "remember me"?

Sod it - I'm off down the pub to get ****ed!
