That really depends on whether our manufacturers get their arses in gear and deliver the new products that are supposed to be launched at the show.

Otherwise we'll probably just get some pole dancers in:D

New from nearly all our manufacturers

    Ortofon
    Roksan
    Pro-ject
    VDH
    Audio Technica

But that depends if the bleeding stuff arrives!

Anyone around London interested in carsharing for the event?

I feel it should be pointed out that this hotel is located about half a mile away from Silverstone racetrack and the penultimate British Superbike Championship race meeting is happening at Silverstone on the very same weekend.

If you are driving, you might want to factor in the 50,000+ bikers on the roads and see if there are traffic diversions to take into consideration.

Seriously, who came up with this? How are you supposed to hear anything when the loudest sport this side of Formula 1 is at the bottom of the garden? Wasn't Heathrow loud enough? What's next - the foyer of a Metallica concert?

I hadn't realized this was the former heathrow show, now in a different location.

I always liked the 'little heathrow show' the best.

I think it would be better in another location too. Hopefully the hotel rooms won't be the 'suspended roof' nightmare boxes of the heathrow hotel.. ? fingers crossed on that score. Many manufacturers struggled to get good sounds.

Chris, since we both live in MK we could share a lift if you want?
Guy Sergeant is staying at my house that weekend from Friday to Sunday.

Henley I have a 9 year old Debut II you could show, look our products even last at least ten years :)

For what it is worth I have always enjoyed the Henley stands as they had a lot more budget offerings than some of the others.

I can't help feeling there's some collective head-in-the-sand action going on here.

    Superbikes are insanely loud
They are racing round and round Silverstone on the same weekend as this show
The hotel backs on to Silverstone

Forgetting the nightmarish travel problems that will entail from trying to get to this show in the face of 50,000+ bikers clogging the roads, do you really expect to hear much apart from NNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW?

OK, OK, I give in. You've talked me out of going.

On the other hand, those screaming engines make beautiful music.

Races last about 25minutes each, with a 10 minute break between each race. There's a half hour pit walk midday Saturday and an hour long one on Sunday (where the stunt teams and the parachutists drop in). It's not all superbikes, but it's pretty much non-stop racing from 9am to 6pm.
