Was this reverse psychology for Pietersen?

Worked didn't it? Since I'd already tempted fate to begin with, I thought I'd do it again to pull it back the other way.

and Pieterson ends up as the highest run scorer in the series

Have to admit I had been slightly dispapointed in him as well - may be we just expected too much from him after all the hype - you can't argue with the figures.

He has great potential - just needs some catching practice.

Being a Warks fan I'd still like to see Bell get another chance - he is a better batsman than this showed and he can improve and adapt to test cricket - he is also very good out in the field.

Yeah its is great to see a team full of good men. When will football wake up to the fact that this is how sport should be and impose some hefty fines for bad behaviour and stop throwing stupid money at people like Robbie Savage.

Given our ability to hysterically overeact at the slightest success I dread to think

After being spanked by Australia for so long it's nice to actually win something.

Last time we went over there they even discussed cutting the number of times we played the ashes since they were winning them so easily.

Over 5 tests we have regained the Ashes after beating the best team in the world - they are still No.1 by some margin.

The way they have done it as well is how sport should be played , from both sides, and NOT what the current England football team are doing with its overpaid, celebrity footballers and incompetent coach.

What about Lillie, Bradman, Remember Warne has never done well in the Indian - Patistan. I believe the reason for this is the way cricket is played there, mostly spin and reverse swing making the batsman bat with soft wrists. However Warne is the best spin bowler i have seen by far.

True, but Lillie didn't have Zimbabwe and Bangladesh to boast figures though, you could hardly call Warne a true alrounder While Kalas of South Africa is. Talking bowlers Mcgrath and Pollock are not fast but very acurate. What about Kumble not the best spinner but gets loads of wickets 2nd best slow bowler playing at the moment. What i'm trying to say is Botham did it everywhere in all conditions while Warne has a problem in the Indian sub cont this is not to take away from him.
