Who's attacking? Stop being so defensive! My only point is that you are doing what you don't want the sceptics to do.

Gentlemen, I have been in quite enough cable wars to date.

Thats why I put my note at the bottom of my posts. :)

That pretty much reflects my position.
TBH, I was surprised the keys, sweet wrapper etc was as close to the other cables in performance - I expected some difference albeit small. Expectation bias again.

I just hope that people stop and think before coughing up for fancy cables. Most often there is no audible difference, occasionally a very small one (due to LCR), but never anything night and day, revelatory or causing sox to be blown off. You really have to deploy some extreme electrical characteristics or have severe load mismatching for the latter.

"Finally, the bowls are quantum-tunneled with 2,000,000 volts from a Tesla coil...We also quantum tunnel instruments for musicians in Hollywood. They bring us their French horns and trumpets, and we quantum tunnel them to open them up significantly and get rid of congested sound."

Some footage of them "quantum-tunnelling" an interconnect

Surely this would be better use for it!

That we'd get most agreeing that the cables sound the same?

    Absolutely :)

I shall burn your disc tonight.

Good grief, I'm going nowhere near that.

I have some gold mains fuses here that came fitted to my ESLs ...... we could demo those yes? .......... Ok no.

Surely the point is to advise people who have read all the cable blurb (& believe it) that they do not have to waste their money - it frees up their cash so they can spend it on more worthwhile & significant improvements, for example better amps, more music etc. Spend £150 on a better amp normally brings much more significant change.

How much have your cables cost you over the years?
How many times have you changed the really important Hardware? Think of the profit being made by the cable companies compared to the profit being made by the "real" manufacturers.

    Think of it as Watchdog.

Rob send if you send the fuses to me, i can Quantum tunnel them for you for £50, youll find the fuses sounded flat and congested before, when you get them back (look into my eyes not around the eyes...) youll find the sound has opened up and the soundstage presented to you is "holographic" that is the effect of "Quantum tunnelling" i cant help think that "Quantum tunnelling" is a euphemism for "Getting shafted"

I would think I've made the net outlay of about 45 quid.

    I've no complaints!

If you have paid more than you wanted , then more fool you!

Why didn't you return then if you weren't satisfied???

Don't be silly. I follow my own advice and ears & spending £150 on a cable (I used the example in the test) that's a complete No No.

    Sorry, I'm still not clear....

If you have spent money on cables and were not satified, why didn't you take them back?

No, I thought it a very reasonable (relevant) question.

Then I think your arguement is lost! ;)

LOL, just catching up with this thread, that is just superb, the funniest thing I've seen on an audio forum in ages! Just inspired.
