The new Bon Jovi acoustic CD arrived this morning and I have finally noticed how much my stereo has opened up with a few small changes (now run in!!)
Firstly, the TNT Flexy and Atacama StaticStage have REALLY increased the bass on all records, I honestly didn't believe it would make such a difference (looks nice too!)
I also upgraded the Cambridge Pacific on the CD-Amp to a Black Rhodium Rhythm and since it has run in properly now the vocals are much clearer and the music is smoother, it is far more enjoyable to listen to than before which was a little fast and in your face.

Just thought I would add my bit to say that some cheap upgrades can make a huge difference in a budget system.

If you were wondering my system is:
Cambridge C500/P500 connected via a Monster Interlink 400 MKII
Marantz CD6000OSE connected with the Black Rhodium Rhythm
Sony MDS-JE330 connected with the Cambridge Pacific
NAD 402 Tuner with a crappy Cambridge Atlantic (doesn't get used much)
Mission 702e connected with Supra Rondo Biwire

All on a TNT Flexy with the CD on the Atacama Staticstage

Excellent. That's what it's all about, isn't it?

i actually thought that bon jovi's first album wasn;t bad in a soft rock kind of way. their latter offerings have been self indulgent pap though, with the seeming sole intention of getting mr jovi into films where he acts atrociously.

    cheers

I heard the version of "Livin' on a prayer" from the new album on Radio 2's album chart show last night, and it was frankly rubbish. There are snippits of this and other tracks HERE so you can see what you think. Actually, Simon Mayo was rather amusingly honest about it, saying something like he felt duty bound to tell us that none of the tracks are as good as the originals :D . From the little I've heard I'd have to agree...

Ah - but the way he loses his head in U571 makes the whole thing worthwhile :)

The first 'Jovi album is a classic - cheese on toast but great with it. Mid 80s cheese at it's mozarella best!

    dom,
i refuse to watch u571 due to its mangling of history in an americocentric way in order to make it marketable. also from what i hear it's a piece of shit too.
    cheers

Maybe Ju was talking about the fuel source of the submarine - nuclear powered after all wasn't it? :p
