I'm reliably informed (via a friend of a friend of someone whose cousin occasionally logs onto Pink Fish) that the Naim Forum is down and has been all day.

Come on guys, admit it. Who's noticed?

I have to admit that I did notice.

I quite like the Naim forum. Some of the comments are quite funny !

Apprantly, It's you good buddy Nigel Ball (NB naim/Polarbear on PF) and his extrodinarly long 'Jaw dropping' thread that caused the terminal melt down, possibly even irritriveable, shame really, as the above poster stated a lot of stuff on their seriously laughable :) Hope Mr D gets it going soon

There is a massive thread on Pink Fish from people deprived of their daily Naim forum fix. I doubt if Zerogain went down there would be a similar response.

Jez, you are quiet correct sir :) but then we do appriecate music is a less contrived and more palpable manner, good to see the sheep in full migration, Giving PFM the honourable accolade of Salisburys back up bolt hole. Fine job guys :)

Pink fish has a strong Naim bias.
    Zerogain does not.

If zerogain went down, there is no substitute.

    There's always HFC :ffrc:

Chris is right though. PFM and Naim have a much larger overlap (than PFM and ZG) becuase of the large Naim userbase at PFM.

Absolutely! Since you lot bailed a year or so ago I only go back there occasionally through morbid curiosity.

Whatever's wrong with the Naim forum may have been caught by Audio Asylum because that's down as well.

    Could we be next?

I take it you mean The Other One, Tom, without the "s" at the end. (I've actually never heard any Naim, so I can't take it in vain. Must do so someday, in order to hear what all the fuss (or lack thereof) is about).

Whoops, sorry I did mean Wadia Meister, just countering his little dig.

    I wouldn't worry, it's just hi-fi:SLEEP:

I must confess that I noticed. I do sometimes go on there when there is talk of subwoofers and multi channel.

Most of their members seem to find these concepts quite shocking however, and even the ones who buy into the subwoofer idea seem taken aback when I suggest that they might like to audition something other than REL.

In fact, when I questioned one chap as to why he was limiting his choice to REL, the response was along the lines of "every other sub manufacturer produces home cinema boom boxes". Mmmm - keep the blinkers on that man. Ironically, the chap in question was from over the pond where REL cost an arm and a leg whereas some of the leading USA designs cost about half of what they do over here.

Oh well, it's a nice friendly forum - I can't help thinking though that it's only a matter of time before someone over there asks me whether I actually own any Naim equipment - to which all I will be able to say is: "Well, I was considering an AV2 but went for a Tag instead".

    Matt.

I often wonder whether my ownership of an Aro really qualifies me as a Naim user. Since I only really go on the beer thread these days I guess they may forgive me.

All of my stuff is Naim except stands and speakers. So I guess I qualify as a sheep.

A very accurate & astute' observation Jez, shortly Mick p will be along to 'sheppard' you back to the safe Green & lush , but oh so dry Salisbury fields, although one small saving grace sir, your speakers aren't from the Wiltshire stable :)

    Oi!

I have Naim, but hopefully not to much bias.

Then again, I have Sony ES gear as well, so maybe I'm just confused, as well as a 'sheep'

    Baaa!

    Johnboi... :)
