    Hi,

It has been strange that this album has never been re-released. I had this on a record to buy list in the early 80s. Might have to get a copy.

    Yay, about time too. :)

I've posted on this before wondering why it had never appeared on CD.

    Can't wait to hear it.

'The name of this band…' is one of quite a few albums that I bought new when they came out and has somehow gone missing over the years – I must have leant it to someone. I recall it being very good – IIRC it is two periods with the first LP being early and the second mid period gigs. I love early Talking Heads; 77 and More Songs are the two albums I keep going back to again and again. Lets hope the new CD reissue means a few nice vinyl copies will start turning up second hand. I'd like to hear it again!

    Tony.

Just noticed that (according to HMV website) all the tracks are "extended and remixed ". I hope the quality of the original isn't diluted. Anyway HMV have them in stock so we'll see.

OK. I think for the first time I bought an album on the day of release !

Doubters (errr... thats me) banish your fears :D

What a tremendous album. Second CD is absolutely outstanding. Second half of first CD is also superb. First half of CD 1 (i.e. the earlier period is also pretty good, but not my favourite TH period anyway)

33 tracks is bit long for a track by track review but it's, rocky, funky and really atmospheric in places. Gonna be a while before this gets out of the CD player :)

I was a bit sceptic, but got home Monday night, popped it in the player and had to stay listening until the end of disc 2. Absolutely mindblowing album. Forgotten just how good it was, and the extras make it even better! Why can't all re-issues be this good?
