Are you using Naim by choice, or for acceptance from the dealers ;)

If the latter then nothing has changed since the 1980's

You should stick two finger up at them and use your modded Behringers.

A rack of Naim kit looks very neat and good at a show. It also sounds perfectly good.

I probably will use my modded Behringer to play the computer audio side of things.

simon - shame you're not sharing a room with richard. you are predominantly room source and speakers, he is predominantly amplifiers.

This kind of thing works well IMHO..

Your joking, I have far too much gear even for my room. There will be no Black Box stuff there just Statement Range and Cube series speakers - Cubix - Cube1 - Cube2, plus Figlets new music computer thingy (TFS) which I am producing in conjunction with him. I still don't know what to call it as it is computer / dac / storage / disc player or loader all in one unit.

So main system will be Cubix speakers - TDS mono amps - TCS pre-amp - TFS music computer - TAS phono unit - PL-71 turntable with Ortofon SPU Gold. All connected by NVA cables.

TSS stereo amp and the other speakers can be wired in if people want to hear them.

So no room for any other manufacturer.

You might need to. It depends what you mean by ego, the animal will be locked away waiting for certain people to turn up, announce themseves, and be thrown out on their FF'ing ear :JOEL:

I will second second Simon's comments.

    It is through choice as:

    - the kit performs very well

    - Naim are thoroughly professional to deal with and extremely helpful

    - we've teamed-up before at the Park Inn show to good effect.

I'm sure a Behringer or two will be on hand :)

    Calm down.

    It has been removed.

This isn't real-time and people have other things to do.

Hoping to be there as I enjoy hi-fi shows. Used to go a lot in the 1980's when I was really drooling and dreaming. Now I've started going again in my middle age, it's a strange feeling to drool at kit that I actually *might* be able to afford.

I considered going then remembering last year I thought :

    1) 2 hrs plus travel either way by public transport from London
    2) Cost for the day of £40 when you factor in travel , entrance and something to eat
    3) Bad signage , lousy to average overheated rooms
    4) The usual suspects - both the equipment and what's playing on it
    5) Surrounded as my son says by people who look like me except some have beards.

That will be a no then.

    1) Wherever you put a show, some will have a long journey. That's life
    2) £40 is typical of any day out these days, certainly in london once you've paid entrance fees, tube and some food. Take a packed lunch.
    3) I thought the rooms were better than most of the London hotels.
    4) Bring your own music
    5) Others are surely immaterial? - you go along for your own benefit.

Go on, make it a yes :)
