Yes, my neighbour had one (or it least its a predecessor, I assume) for about 6 months....that spoiler wouldn'd let him go anywhere. When he realised he could get into the golf club carpark (without knocking it to pieces) he realised it had got to go.

Pity, straight 6, 3 litre (or whatever it was), + super charger, + big bore exhaust....brought a bit of exotica to a quiet Shropshire village.....:)

    .......er, no.

I had a mk1 Triumph 2000, 1964, burgundy with an ivory roof, 2 litre straight six, all leather seats, valve radio that sounded ace, lots of wood and chrome aplenty. Had to let it go in the end as I needed to travel too many miles, and economical it wasn't.

Like this one, but not black:

Yes, our neighbour back in Bradford (on avon, not Yorkshire) had one.

It rusted like mad but then everything did in the mid 70s.

A guy I once new had a Vitesse, same 2 litre straight 6 of course....."cor they're thirsty beasts"...I remember him saying.

18 to the gallon apparantly. Just doesn't happen now.

edit...did yours have an overdrive LT?

    No.

I do like old cars though, it's easier to be individual with a cuddly old knacker and you get a special pleasure out of driving them (well, if you're that way inclined :Quad:). Sadly I've just parted company with my Morris Minor van as I was worried that the shite state of the Somerset and Dorset lanes was shaking it to pieces, and I couldn't let that happen to the lovely old thing. Ho hum.

david that spoiler must have been something - or ther was a funny golf club car park entrance - very few spoilers go above the roof line and if the barrier was that low how did all the chealsea farmers get their x5 and range rovers in? or was he just pelted with stale bread rolls and empty dom bottles from the 19th hole due to showing a bit of indivituality and not going for the usual chelsea tractor or luxo-barge.

    ;)

...er, I meant the front one actually.

Perhpts I should have said "airdam" more accurately.

It WAS only about 2" off the ground.

AS for the bread rolls and dom bottles, I wouldn't know :D. I certainly didn't have a problem with it!

Weve also got one of these around here ( a chelsea tractor with a difference)....i think the lady deals in horses or some thing. Anyway, that too sounds very nice......

That new Sub looks crap. I though MG when I first saw it (and that's not a compliment).

The Mitsu Evo X doesn't look that much better.

I assume that all the safety crap out there means that any radical front end designs are a thing of the past.

They could have at least tried to give it a radical rear end. Look at what Volvo did on the C30 for f**ks sake and that's from Volvo...!!!

Those lights just totally ruin the look of the car. Standard light ftw, and the best looking scooby is still the P1.
