    Hi,
as it's now December i thought i'd bring this old chestnut out for a good roasting so... what's your favourite Yule tide tune(s)?
for me it would have to be:
    The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping
Kirsty Macoll and shane mcgowan - fairy tale of new york
Slade - merry christmas.. (noddy's pension or whatever it's called)
Band Aid - Do they know... (the original)

    cheers

    julian.

I think my favourite christmas song has to be Fairy Tail of New York by The Pogues/Kirsty McColl.

Its just so refreshing as thats what christmases are usualy like. I mean how often do we have a white christmas where all family hugs round the log fire in front of somer old Bing Crosby film?

The Phil Spector xmas album contains the only xmas songs that aren't complete cock. Apart from the Pogues, obviously.

Bach, Weihnachtsoratorium (Christmas Oratorio) (wonderful DVD of Gardiner and the Monteverdis live at the Herderkirche, Weimar)

Praetorius, "Chrismette" (reconstruction of a Lutheran Christmas Day Mass - simply the most spectacular Christmas music you'll ever hear - be prepared to duck as the speaker cones come flying across the room at you in "In Dulci Jubilo")

Pretenders - 2000 Miles. Mainly due to it having Chrissie Hynde's voice on it.

    Cheers
