    Hi,

I doubt it. It looks like people are more at home complaining than they are praising. It looks like that some people are never happy & every little thing seems to bothers them.

A few of the things that bring a smile to my face.

Curry, the spicier/more flavourful the better.
    Red wine.
Good german wheat beer or a good real ale.
Getting a really good deal at your local hifi dealer, even nicer if you didn't ask/expect a discount or already thought their price/service was exceptional.
Finding that CD/record that you've been trying to get hold of for ages.
Music, especially late at night with the lights out just listening.
    Video gaming/computing, especially old classics.
Building a DIY project that actually works.
    Helping others out.
Concerts/gigs, it's great to actually see your favourite artist perform in the flesh.
Being asked back for a second interview :).

A few of my better moments: :)

Cooking a great meal for friends.
Sharing a good bottle of vino with friends (It may be good on its own but somehow its far better with others)
Playing well in a good hard game of badminton (win or lose)
Lights out, feet up, just ...drifting off .....into that piece of music......zzzzzzz
Getting out into the Highlands of Scotland (whatever the weather)
Getting something on the f  ing computer to work. :D

plus the obvious g/f related moments ;)

I concur, Dean, we are taught all our lives to judge, weigh up, criticise,we see it all in the media everyday, critical comment, and its largely all negative, its ingrained, insidious.
A lot easier to blast than to praise. It comes from the greek tradition of dialectic, where the thinking was if you remove all that's bad, all that remains is the good.

    Some of my favourite things

My parents. The more I think about it the more I admire them. Been through lots to put us where we are today.

    Here is my recent love.

    Baby being born.

A baby or child recovering from illness.

Parents face when they see their child has recover.

People enjoying to each other company.

Young couple enjoying each other company.

Old couple enjoying each other company.

Meeting new people with conversation that are entertaining and easy going.

    Meeting friends and relations.

Meeting people that knows their subject very well. And keen to teach you a thing or two in a nice way.

Eating a simple meal. Trying out new dish. Enjoying a favourite dish cooked amazingly.

Concert that moves my spirit and soul.

    Movie that touches my imagination.

Book that open my mind. Book that makes me understand something in a deeper level.

Zerogain forum. You people are simply mad.

Well one thing that I found heartening today: The very fact that there was at least some survivors in our fish tank disaster. I am so happy that I refused to give up on the remaining fish (of which I thought there was only one, and I expected it to be dead when I got home).

Sounds daft but if I've learned anything over the past 24 hours its that I have more of a soft spot for animals than I realised!

It's amazing how close we can be to animals. When we finally finished up everything in Hong Kong last year to move back here, we brought our two cats back with us. It was really sad to have to see them go into quarantine for 6 months. Still, they seem to have adjusted well to life over here.

A brief list of things/objects/people I love, in no particular order:

    Wolverhampton Wanderers
    My girlfriend
    Driving
    Red bull & vodka
Indian food (Living in an area with a massive asian population is great, it means I can buy 8 samosas for £1 that are better than any I've had in a restaurant, and I can buy some damned excellent currys)
    Mexican food
Music (apart from Jazz, sorry just doesn't appeal I'm afraid, though I haven't heard much admittedly)
    Travelling
    The internet
    My cats
    My family
The smell of freshly cut grass
Fish (my girlfriend has a big tank in her living room, lots of tropical fish in there, a couple of catfish...don't really know anything about them, but watching the fish is nice and relaxing :D)
The smell of new pine furniture
    Sleeping
    Paintballing
Flight simulator games (I've wanted to be a pilot since, well, ever, and my eyesight isn't good enough, so Il-2 Sturmovik shall have to suffice)
    Fish'n'chips
Wales (but no I don't love sheep ;))
    The seaside

I love people who want to stuff mobile phones up the rectums of those dipsticks who spend all day walking up and down corridoors talking very loudly into the the bloody things.

I also love people who think that those selfish bastards who smoke in pubs should have a bin liner stuck over their heads so as their can inhale their own muck themselves and not stink out the rest of us.

I also love George W Bush, Maggie Thatcher and Tony Blair.

    Regards

    Mick
