The reluctant CD

    I have one particular brand new CD which my transport resolutely refuses to recognise :( .

    I have no idea why this is.

    Will a burned copy be any better? Will another original copy of the CD play?

    Does it have the Compact Disc logo on it.

    If not, it's not a proper Red-Book CD.

    IIRC, Sony transports can be more flaky. I keep an old Marantz for just such occasions
