Looking at the list there is a lot of stuff from the 80s. Whether it is horrible is a matter of taste. There are some excellent records in the list.

What do you mean by "chav stuff"?

You are about right. I have bought or been given a number of record collections over the years. I own thousands of records and cds and am a big collector of items. I can be a impulsive buyer as well.

When you buy a collection you can get a wide mixture of stuff include many copies of the same item and many records that you already own or not interested in. Hence the list.

Some of the items I have sold over the years have been items from my collection, some are spares, some are items that are worth a bit, some are items that I'm not bothered about, some are brand new, some I have played, some I have never played.

The list has been a good way a number of people to increase their record collections.

I thought you would say that - The word chav refers to those people with a slightly lesser sense of style amoun us. think medallions and shellsuits and then transfer that to music.

Im not sure a chav would be interested in an audiophile system So you are probably safe.

We all have been suckered in to buying music that doesnt deserve respect.

Dont be downharted - Ive worse stuff in my collection.
Now a days I concentrate on music that doesnt appear on top of the pops.

    regards
    Andy

All that I have stated is true. Whether you believe me is up to you. Are you calling me a liar?

So you are a person that is down on someone because of how they look. I'm aware of the chav term and the people it is meant to apply to. The sort of music on that list is varied and would appeal a wide range of people.

I must admit, I have never been called a chav before. I have never fitted the stereotype. I don't wear jewellery and I have never owned a shellsuit. I also don't wear a baseball cap.

Stylewise, I'm my own man as I am with music.

Now what are you trying to say? TBH I am aware of people who would fit your discription of a chav who have hifi system, good ones as well. One bloke I know had madallions and wore a shellsuit but he worked hard and owned his own business. He had a Krell amp.

I have never been suckered into buying music. I do own music that may rise eyebrows.(good & bad) You can ask people who have been to the bake offs I have attended. I have bought or received music of many different styles and types.

As I have mentioned before most of these records that I have for sale are from collections that I have bought.

I have picked up collections and kept the items that I fancy and wanted to collect. It has also been useful for trying out new and old music. Some I have kept, some I have sold on.

As for respect, there are many styles and types of music. Why does one style deserve more another? It is fair enough if you don't like a style, type or artists, thats life. But other people will do. If you don't like the music, does that make people who do bad people?

Having a varied taste in music is a good things. It can be very entertaining. Exploring new & old music is very fufilling.

There is nothing wrong with being on top of the pops. For the record Top of the pops is no longer on. If you know anything about music, the range of acts that have been on the charts has wide and varied. There has a been a huge number of acts on top of the pops.

How about giving some example of the sort of stuff you are concentrating on?

I have been putting lists on here for a few years and have sold many. Various people have bought items that they wanted. These have been many different artists and many different styles of music. I have sold a large number of the list aready.

If it doesn't meet your approval, tough! Don't buy!

Andy, why don't you start a thread in the music section and list artists that deserve respect and artists that don't. Should be interesting and make for good debate. You can dis the artists on my list. Also you can dis the many people who have bought the records.

SCIDB - My response was an attempt at humour and If it had been done to me I would have laughed however it missed its mark with you so sorry.
If you think my efforts were meant in a derogatory way towards you are wrong. I was being jockular and you have taken the comments that I made too literally.

I can think of many reasons why some types/ styles of music deserves respect than others one reason could perhaps be talent. For example I put Jimi Hendrix above girls aloud and I no longer bother with Madonna. For me there is too much good stuff out there like Polar Bear, Jackie Leven and assorted Americana to explore and life is short.

    regards
    Andy
