Once you've heard one good amplifier you've pretty much heard them all.

The Sugden amps are 'single ended'. In fact most of the time 'single ended' looks very, very like a conventional push-pull output stage, it's just that instead of actively driving one half with half the signal, you use it only as (fixed) a current-source. It's simply a matter of degree - 98% of the SS amps out there are push-pull (whether class A, AB or B); a few are single ended; and a rare one or two (the old 10w JLH Class A amp comes to mind) are somewhere ill-defined in the middle. The only thing that is for sure - one simply cannot have a useful class B single-ended audio amp.

Its the results that matter. And Rob I know what you're getting at, but for arguments sake on hifi forum I'm going to disagree. Regards ;)

Analogue Class D amps have to be 'push-pull'. A single-ended one wouldn't be very interesting to listen to; might make a good light dimmer though ;)

Continuum Turntables have been working with a new company who showed at the CES who look like they are making Single output devices in Monster cases. They sounded promising. www.constellationaudio.com they are so new they havn't got their webpage up and running yet, could be an interesting read. Suggested price at $50K per mono.

this is a bit confusing for me - isn't this a kit thing that ralf from audioprojekte.de DIY parts website was selling.

i agree it's a tremendous thing and very easily a better sounding than the original first watt F3 amp it heavily borrows from.
