Possibly the most fun you can have for £4.00 with your clothes on. I visited my regular Lp haunt today Relics Records in Leeds. I buy most of my mint ECM stuff from them but today I was attracted to good condition original Columbia 1962 Mono pressing of The Young Ones festuring Clifff Richard and the Shadows. I eagerly cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol, flicked the mono switch on my Sugden and was transported back to those wonderful heady days on the back row of the Malvern Picture House in Leeds with Cathy, the first love of my life. The emotions that welled up in me as each track, like an old friend played is difficult to describe. All I can say is, if there is a peice of music that perfectly fits a time in your life, go out and buy it, it is worth every penny. I never owned the album when it came out due to lack of funds but I can remember wearing out the title track single which topped the charts. Just need to find that old mohair jumper now and I wonder how Cathy is.Now that could be another story
