I know ilyocker knows this one, but anyone else?

I heard one of her songs in a dem recently, and thought it didn't sound bad. Very much in the vein of Eleanor McEvoy and countless other female vocalists. Perhaps not stunningly original or ground-breaking, but pleasant to listen to. I've ordered "The Lipstick Conspiracies". Any comments on this or her other albums? From the previews on HMV there seemed to be some similarity to alanis too.

I've got a couple of the others, but find her a bit 'lyrically intense' (if such a phrase exsts); a bit much to sit through a whole album at a time, though well worth listening too.

I think it's the presentation as much as anything else - Ani Di Franco or Joni Mitchell do the 'intense storyteller' mode as well, but with a much more fluid and intriguing delivery.

We can have a race, see who's copy arrives first... although I currently have the whole album by.... other means. It's quite good

I have Avalanche which I think is pretty good especially the single Juliet.

At all the HIFI shows Naim have a CD she recorded for them so that should be ok too.

Isaac after you played a track at the recent bake-off I ordered the Lipstick Conspiracies which turned up yesterday. Only played it a couple of times but so far pretty happy with it. Stand out track for me is my own private riot.
