Ive had an unbelievable thirst for that last few days. No matter how much I drink, or what I drink I cant quench it and I do mean water, not booze before you quip. My mouth also feels yucky. Its kept me up for the last two nights, Ive literally had about 3 hrs sleep. Feel fine apart from tiredness. Anybody had this?

Hmmm...that one of the signs of diabetes..?

maybe worth popping to the docs, or even a chemist (you can buy the self testing kits there)

If it doesn't go away within a few days go and see your GP. Believe it or not they are more qualified to make a diagnosis than a bunch of hifi nerds on an internet forum ;)

true....plus if it is diabetes, then caught early enough it can be treated quite easily...

Hmmmm, I'll give it to the weekend, there are alot of bugs going around here at the moment, Im certainly getting through the old corporation pop though (prob about 3l so far plus bru's). I wouldnt mind a reason to visit my local chemist actually, the pharmacist who works there is an absolute stunner, and going off her accent Id say she's either Spanish or Portugese, I just love the way she calls me Stuat (my names stuart), sorry I digress!

If your tongue or mouth feels like the bottom of a parrot's cage then you may well have a bug but let's hope it is not a form of Avian Flu  Seek a doctor asap.

Thirst and tiredness are both fairly classic symptoms of diabetes.

I was diganosed in March, was going to the loo maybe 7/8 times a night, had absolutely no energy, dodgy breath, and a severe case of ballanitis (effectively a case of thrush :D makes yur knob look like its decomposing  . Very itchy) Other symptoms include dodgy breath.

If these sound familiar and I hope they don't :) , go to your doctor.

Its my name she's saying have no fear. She also gives me a dam fine smile and always makes long eye contact, or was that a dream? I get confused....

Well Im going to the loo through the night coz Im drinking alot, I am tired but Ive not had any sleep. fireman sam looks in fine fettle and Im not sure about my breath. TBH I feel fine apart from the thirst and a yucky mouth, a good nights kip would be nice though. Hope you've got it under control, doesnt sound like you were having a great time of it!

Our local chemist if offering free Diabetes testing. I think quite a few are doing it now as part of an awareness campaign.
