    Dear fellows,

This weekend I took my Simaudio Moon Eclipse to Tube Dude's towers...

We did an A/B comparision with his CD player... I could not believe in my ears!

I won't say much more because I have good news for you non-believers...

Tube-Dude's towers are now open for those of you who want to make a trip to Portugal (you are all welcome)...

We still have the sun, the girls and the beer... plus some kick ass audio devices by the infamous Tube Dude!

Come and meet Aveiro with its beautiful Ria... and the famous null test.

Now you can hear the virtually perfect amp... a wire with gain!

And some more... namely what multibit is really capable of...

What do you say? Do you have the guts?

A trifle harsh there Mr P, Prehaps TD should have a room at Heathrow and show us how to do it :)

i'd love to go to portugal, meet td, and all the portugese forumites, have a bit of a listen to their kit and then go off and relax on a beach for a week. sadly it's not gonna happen soon thanks to severe constipation of the wallet.
    cheers

    Ok Gentlemen,

We've got analoguekid so far and Julian when his wallet allow (it's really not that expensive Julian...).

    Wm,

It would be very nice to have you too here in Portugal... maybe then and if you like what TD's kit do for drummers (like I would have liked to be...) we could talk about a room at Heathrow while we drink some beers...

    Penance,

There's a lot you can do in Aveiro besides listening to a great audio system... you are also welcomed to know the city, the bars and the beaches... no pain at all.

Here's my suggestion to you all, get together and figure out a date, you are all welcomed anytime (Merlin this is also for you... I mean it.)

    What do you say?

I'm serious about this... you can do whatever you want... portuguese food, beer, sun, beach thing (better wait for spring) and be foooked by TD's system...

We also have snow over Serra da Estrela...

There's a lot to be seen and heard!

I'll come over. Never been to Portugal. Of course I'll volunteer SideShowBob (who is off in Japan) as he is my travelling companion. So in many ways it will be up to him to get the pennies together but trust me we will be there.

    Ok!

The invitation is done! You are free to come if you want to...

You can hear and see all I've been talking about... and enjoy a good time in Portugal!

As for the wallet constipation, it surely is a lot cheaper to come over here and enjoy new sigths than, say, to buy some interconnects with questionable results...

PS: Aveiro is near the sea, so no snow there... Aveiro is best known as "the portuguese Veneza"...

BD, I must admit I do like the west coast of Portugal. Its much, much better than the Algarve (less brits).

For those like me that don't know, what is Tube Dude's system and why are you welcoming everyone to visit his house - does he know?

Come on bemcsa... both have their charms...

That is a long, long story... you need to search over the threads about the null test...

OF COURSE!!! It was me who conviced him...

    I said to him,

"Look, you are doing this for a long, long time - over thirty years now - I don't know of a single serious person who has comed to your house to listen your system that wasn't completely blown away for the amount and realism of the sound coming out of those little (and relatively cheap) MA20se's... I know that you only do it for the fun of it, I know that you are a passionate about music and audio electronics, I know that you are of the very few who truly believe in the null test and probably the only one that has improved it even further (after Hafler), and finally I know that your all time maxim is «Music is Art, Audio is Engineering»... I know you are alone in all that, BUT please... this is too good to be left unkown... there's nothing we can say about this that will show to people how it sounds... and I've really tried but with no success... so we must give them the full measure... they have to listen for themselves, there's no other way!

"You live in a very nice city, so if people don't like your sound what could possibly be the worst thing to happen?

They have to enjoy the city, the beach, the sun, the beer, the girls, the bars, the sight... so, I don't see anything wrong about this... besides some of them already know Michaelab who they can meet with here or in Lisbon."

And he said, "Ok! Let's see if someone is that interested in hi-fi..."

And here I am inviting you...

BD I haven't been buying expensive interconnects, in fact I've been selling them, I'm happy with my setup, only recent changes are to my Tonearm and phonostage.

    analoguekid,

This is not about buying or selling anything, nor about changing your setup or somebody else's setup... this is about those who want to know Portugal in some way and who care about music and hi-fi. It is about having a very different experience and enjoy a good weekend over here... because Portugal is different, and TD's system is definitely different from anything you can name...

I really think it is worthwile... it is always different when we meet people in flesh and when we hear for ourselves...

My own system has nothing to do with TD's system (it is really bad in comparision... he doesn't sell me his creations), so don't you ever judge his system by it, or else your are very fine wherever you are... unless, of course, you would like to know Aveiro or Lisbon...

Bottom line is you are always welcomed here...
