Has anyone heard the new blue point special evo3?
Or any opinion on the previous BPS?

I did a bit of comparing cartridges.

    I had a bps, goldring 1042, denon 304 and 103.

I favoured the denon, just, also liked ortofon mc15 which was fast.

The BPS was a tad soft for me but no problem with it, quite nice, bit fragile you have to be careful with it. Easy to fix in tho'.

Looking at a new cartridge myself. The BPS EVO3 got a very good review in Stereophile but haven't heard it myself, supposed to be better than the last incarnation and more suitable in a range of arms which apparently was the major failing on the previous version.

Also as well as looking at the Kontrapunkt for a little bit bit more there is the Lyra Dorian which I've been looking at. I heard a Lyra cart a couple of years ago on a Avid Acutus and it impressed the hell out of me - this was one of the expensive models but I'm interested in what their 'budget' cart sounds like. Not sure what the spec is for the Dorian, an internet search proved pointless, even Lyra's own site has no specs for it.

Also interested in the Kontrapunkt especially as I have an old MC10 Super which I may be able to use to get the part ex discount.
