    Morning everyone.

As per usual, i'm looking to get some advice from you guys:)

Would like to get myself a new CD player/transport in the near future.
Seems as though quite a few of you guys recommend looking at the 2nd hand market.
Hopefully, i'll have just over £1000 to find one with.
I notice that quite a few of you guys recommend the TEAC brand for transport purposes. Any particular models to keep a look out for?

As before, all advice greatly appreciated.
I'm steadily building up my system. Phew!

    Viper,

you might want to look out for a Teac P30 in good nick. It's one of the best transports out there regardless of price, built like a tank, and a real investment.

Seriously though, P30 is an excellent transport but I think even merlin's one is probably above your budget.

There aren't that many dedicated transports at around the £1K mark, even second hand. One that's pretty highly regarded is the Tag CDT20R which if you can find one should go for around £6-800.

The Teac T-1 I use cost me just £200 and then I had WM "breathe on it" with some foo-foo dust and some bits from Trichord to make it a bit better but the total was still a lot less than £1K (a LOT less).

:D Still playing with it. But it is far better than the Byron alone. Even the GF said it was better:eek:
WM is sending me some cables for it (and some Omiga stuff to try)

    Good evening guys.

    Thankyou for your recommendations.
I'll have a read up on the units you suggested.
The TEAC P30 sounds like a class piece of kit.

I'll send merlin a private message regarding his P30.
    (hope he doesnt mind that)

I shall go and search the web for the units you guys suggested.
Thanks very much for your assistance.

    Viper.

Viper I am probably selling my Wadia transport (breathed upon by Trichord) (possibly with DAC) and it is in your price range. PM me for more info etc.
