    it goes as follows;
    "LONDON SOUND & VISION SHOW 2008 "
    IT'S SINGLE OBJECTIVE;
    TO UNITE THE TRADE,
    it already has it's own trade reference group wich meets every 6 weeks
    it already has the support of the BFA
    it's already working with bada
    it has already sorted out parking on site for over 500 cars'
    it's already sorted out several ways for visitors arriving by train to get to the venue easily and cheaply,it has already agreed with the venue that snacks and drinkswill be at affordable prices.it has already put in place ten seperate significant attractions,
    it is already dedicated to promoting the love of music' it is already working with CLASSIC FM in a joint marketing campain,it's alredy reconnecting with EUROPE AND THE USA and promoting it's new status. it has already stated that this a selling show,it has already set out an open door for dealers to exhibit,it is a bigger 25% exhibit space with more BASS UNITS so there is extra high quality for sound demos, etc etc...

    The email was for the trade so the parking fees, entry and transport is irrelevant. Emails and adverts giving that sort of info will go out later. Roy's email was just to try and drum up business.

    I think car parking was about £6 for the day last year.

    the email was not addressed to the public. So your comment is irrelevant. The email was addressed to the trade because Roy wants us to book a room for the show. Information for guests will be sent out nearer the time of the show.

    what is relevant? roy knows me from long ago, my comments count wether you like it or not, i am fed up with the way this industry is going, through avarice and upstard attitude towards all , dealers, customers , and would be members as beginers to the hi-fi world, but oh NO , the greed that the industry has goes on beyond that, is it fair that goods are sold in exevitions to the public at a lesser price than the poor dealers in the high street? no wonder business is dying on the retail front, dealers"wellmost of them" are made to stock x amount of stock before they are refer to , but unfortuanally that is not the case anymore, i could go on but i will just be wasting my time,
    rome was not destroid from outside but from within,

    Why are you so angry?

    The email is an advertising campaign from Roy to try and get Dealers, Distributors and Manufacturers to book rooms. It has nothing to do with the public, as I said earlier an advertising campaign for the public will be published nearer the time.

    I AM NOT ANGRY, MERELLY VERY SAD, THAT WE ALL IN THE INDRUSTY HAVE LOST TOUCH WITH JO PUBLICK, yes i am sad that we all have lost touch with the menbers of the enthusiasm world of hi-fi, the days when onlookers dreaming of buying the first piece of "so called" hi-fi, was a dream and a home party, sad that all that has turned onto a egoistic trip, no , not angry merelly very sad ,, i will be there at the show, maybe a tear will fall from my eye, but that will be rememberance of the old days, but there again who cares, no not angry, dissapointed peharps,
    all the best

    Guys looking at the details of these 'BASS' units they are not bass traps (as I thought) they are entire exhibition booths.

    At any rate I would issue a word of caution to you if you are thinking of using them. I have looked at the details of the wall construction and they are (from what I can tell) your standard isolation booth. They are covered with sound absorbent which kills all mid and high frequencies and yet they still boom. I've mixed in things like this and its not a good place to listen to music. They are probably designed more for giving an easy quiet place to talk with people.

    I might be there this year, funds permitting.

    I'm sure your performance will be more interesting to watch than most of the AV demonstrations with the latest action flick.
