    Dear All

Got my Microgroove at the weekend. I was warned by the shop that I might find it a bit noisy inbetween tracks, but that it would put a very wide grin on my face.

They were right on both counts. Straight out of the box it sounds very good. The noise between tracks is quite high though.

It's on a different [metal] shelf from the rest of my kit, at least 18" away from the Roksan power supply. The i/c from Sonus Faber Musica integrated to Microgroove is Kimber KCAG.

Haven't tried either a different cable or support yet to try to reduce the noise. Wondering whether anyone's had the same experience and if the noise settled down a bit after a few weeks use. Do the Lithos mods make any difference to the noise level ??.

It may well be that I'm just not used to the "swoosh" - I haven't played any records for a year...

    Yours ever

    Hi

My suggestion would be to try an RF shielded interconnect.

    :)

    Cheers
