Thanks for that, just watched it. I am thinking of the Dias as an upgrade from my Orbe, and using my SME V on it. Or should I wait now, but I bet these new decks will be out of my budget.

lol I meant me and Tom Fletcher..

however now you've mentioned it, I like Tannoys too. My first speakers were Tannoys (sixes), and I'm about to buy another pair (not as a replacement for my main speakers but as a stand-in).

Yes, I think good TT design and success is a 50/50 mix of decent basic engineering and luck!

One or two exceptions of course such as ye old LP12 which is about 20% engineering and 80% bloody clever spin.

    Hiya

You should pop over some time, I'm quite close now in Reading.

You know maybe I should do the sociable thing and invite a few people over, get a few pizzas in the oven, that kind of thing.

Forum could do with an old fashioned bake-off.

Anyone in the Reading/London area fancy that?

If anyone has a decent DAC or passive Pre to bring, that would be fun to add to the mix.

    Hi Dev/all

Think I'll get Rob around with his PC and mic to measure stuff, / have some playing before a get-together.

    Then a ''cake-off'' will follow I think.
