I was happily using Azereus as my BT client until someone suggested utorrent was much faster - I swapped over and deleted Azereus.

However I now notice that Utorrent is much slower and also my upload speed is typically twice my download speed. 30 hours for 3gb seems crap to me. What's that all about then, any ideas?

    Thanks
    Jools

in the options, limit the upload speed while downloading to 6, and put the max download as 99999 - that should sort it.

no worries, if it's still not working, post again, and i'll check how my settings are at home.

You might be getting shaped by your ISP. I just switched to Nildram and cannot get faster than 20kbs download speed. Even with encryption. I spoke to them on the phone and they said they had been having issues with a recent firmware upgrade, but have made no effort to fix the issue.

    I am now moving ISP
