Anybody any experience of these? I have a 565 sitting there doing nowt and considering its quite reasonable with the nos DAC could solve a few problems. Im thinking along the lines of re-clocking the pioneer and making a seperate PSU incorporating super-regs etc. Id also like a seperate PSU for the clock. Whilst this maybe not upto Max' creations Im sure I could so summat for much less £££££. Any thoughts??

As far as I've seen, other than fancy casework townshend don't do anything hugely clever, new clock, probably caps and regs etc. Changing the op amps is the only difficult bit really because they're so fiddly.

TBH I dont think the case is that fancy, looks like its been hammerited and not with the smooth stuff. The extra case underneath houses the power supplies.

Would I need to bother with op amps? I'll be using my nos DAC for the CD side and I aint that fussed about DVD playback.

Unique enough to be custom build for Max only
