I always thought their stuff was pretty good and when I found out who they consisted of:

    - George Harrison
    - Tom Petty
    - Roy Orbison
    - Bob Dylan
    - Jeff Lynne

I was therefore quite surprised how difficult their music is to get hold of. Aparantly, it's discontinued due to some falling out with one of the record companies. However, I managed to pick up a copy of their 'Volume One' on LP at lunchtime today for £20. A fair bit, but as I've seen some of their singles going for £80, it's a decent enough price. The LP is in excellent condition and include the hits 'Handle with Care', Last Night' and 'End of the Line'

That is a fair hit, certainly for the vinyl edition. The CD copies are even more rare. Both albums were due for remaster/re-issue but then George died so no-one knows if it will happen now.

There's some good stuff on both of them. End Of The Line, Tweeter & The Monkeyman and Handle With Care are the best on that 1st album. Wilbury Twist off the second album is pretty funny, IIRC the video is quite good. Think I've got it somewhere on a VCD.

Absolutely fantastic music IMHO. I bought the vinyl version of Volume One for £12 in VG condition about 2 years ago, so if yours is in at least VG condition I don't think you paid over the odds for it in 2004 TBH.

The irritating thing is that I found the CD version of Volume One for the same price a few months later but didn't get it. According to the Record Collector book the CD version is worth slightly more yes.

Anyway, as it's all about the music I don't mind to much about the value ;)

Annoyed now that I didn't make a copy to MiniDisc last night as I was going to - would have been good stuff to listen to today ;)
