tube technology - ebay

spotted this int. on ebay and wish to see if anyone knows of them. unfortunately i am unsure wether to bid or not as the current bidder is called 'caroline' and the contact number at the bottom is for someone called...........caroline. maybe, just maybe a shill bid?

I heard some tube technology stuff and it was very impressive. It didn't look like that though it looked like this

 

I owned a set of Tube Technology Genesis 100W monoblocs for a few years.....beautifully made,uterly reliable,and a very nice sound.
They were sold to accomadate some AV componentry and a system change,but highly recommended.
Do some looking around for prices though.

The pic posted is of the current range of gear,and the amp you've spotted is from the older line.

 

i took a listen to the cd player (which uses a bastardised chord dac 64 without the ram buffer inside) - to be honest it sounded $hite, very harsh even with valves in the output stage.

Never tried the CD player,but as I said above,the valve amplifiers,if not cheap,are certainly very well made,with good components inside,and sound excellent,and are also very reliable.
